Paul Charles Harris was born to Chuck and Cindy on Veteran\’s Day, November 11th, 1987, in Richmond, Virginia. He was the youngest of three children. His sisters Hillary and Emily were 11 and 8 when he was born. Paul had red hair, red eyelashes and eyebrows, and copper colored eyes. He had a spirit of adventure and a love for people from the time he was a little boy and was blessed with an amazing ability to make friends. Paul passed away as the result of a one vehicle accident. Paul chose to be a donor. When he took his driver\’s exam he made the decision to check \”donor\” on his license and his family was honored to see to it that his wishes were fulfilled. Two women in their 50\’s received his kidneys and a gentleman in his 70\’s received his liver. Two other people received his corneas and his heart valves brought new life to 3 special people. At this time we know of 69 people in 16 states who have received the gift of life from Paul. Those of us who love Paul continue to pray for these recipients that their lives may be enriched because they received the gift of life from one who we love deeply and honorably. Read More |

The Paul C. Harris Great Bridge High School Scholarship was started in 2007, just a few months after Paul passed away. It was created in his memory by his family, parents Chuck and Cindy Harris, sister Hillary and her husband Jeff and his sister Emily Sheipe. Paul graduated in June 2006 from Great Bridge High School. The purpose of this scholarship is to assist a Great Bridge High School senior with his or her college expenses.
